Michael Mason has been teaching woodcarving & woodturning for many years on the family property in the Barossa’s beautiful high country of Eden Valley.

Michael is a Master Woodcarver and designs and makes items from scratch, sometimes from timber milled himself. His passion is to work with quality timbers such as Mahogany, Walnut, Blackwood and especially, Huon Pine.

Michael’s heirloom handcrafted rocking horses are highly sought after, and he enjoys sharing his expertise with wood enthusiasts and people interested in the unique art of woodcarving.

Not content to be one of Australia’s leading Woodcarvers, Michael & his wife Judith are also respected Vignerons supplying grapes to award-winning winemakers in the region.

Like many grape growers, they hold a small parcel back each year and make their own estate grown, single vineyard wines which can be purchased online or at their beautiful wood hewn Cellar Door – The Woodcarvers Haven.
